what a wonderful trip...........

* i had such a wonderful trip home. we got home about 6:50 p.m. friday night. we were greeted at one of my favorite restaurants in san angelo. terry, dana, meems, lisa, ro-ro were there to give us wonderful hugs. it wa so good to see everyone. we just sat and ate and visisted for about two hours. then we went to lisa's house and sat up until 11. that was good for us. sometimes we can't quiet make it to that time. but we did.

* on saturday, we got up and ate breakfast. we had so much fun. then it was off tosassy fox. they carry brighton jewlry. lisa wanted to get the matching necklace for the bracelet and earrings i had gotten her for her birthday. we went there and then to eggemeyers and then to merle norman. we finally found what she was looking for at merle norman. they have a pretty good selection of brighton there.

*after that we decided to have lunch at lisa's favorite restuarant, mcallisters. then we were off to the mall. i had given the girls some money and lisa wanted to go to bealls. we left the mall about 5:30 and went home for about thirty minutes.

* we got to zuccinis, h's favorit restaurant, at about 6:15. there were alot of people there. she had a nice birthday. after supper, we all went to lisa's house to visit. everybody was there. it was so nice. we just sat and visited. till about 11:00. we had so much fun.

* the next day, we went to church. THAT WAS FANTASTIC. we just hugged on everybody, and they hugged on us. what a wonderful time was spents loving on old friends.

* after church, i got to spend a glorious two hours with rdub. oh how i miss our time together. but we had a very successful time shopping. we only had to go to one store. don't you just love that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we picked out so many outfits. wow!!!! did she look hot!!!!! you go rdub. but the best part was just being with my dear sweet friend like old times. i love u baby girl. what a blessing you are to me. can't wait til our next date.

* after a wonderful time shopping, lisa and ro-ro, fixed me and the girls and the fam. a PHENOMINAL STEAK DINNER. IT WAS OFF THE HOOK. RO-RO YOU ROCK. the steaks were so tender and juicy. it was better than at a steak house. we just enjoyed each others company until 9:30. everyone had to leave to get ready for work.

* today, i met lisa for lunch with the girls. lisa took a long lunch so we could eat together one more time. i then left the girls with pops and nene. they are going to watch the girls until sat. while i go see my other dear friend. i am so excited.

* what a blessed weekend i had. God you are so good!!!!!

can you hear the sound of spring break?????

i can hear it all through the land. can you? i hear the sound of happy teachers everywhere. their smile is a little brighter, their step a little peppier, their laughter a little louder. the sky looks a little better, all smells, smell a little better.

i am so ready for spring break, for so many reasons. i am going home. i am going to see family that i haven't seen in a little over two months. yea!!!!!! we are going to have hannah's bday with family. I AM SO READY TO JUST SIT AND VISIT WITH MY FAMILY. no rushing, no hurrying, just visiting. I MISS MY FAMILY SOOOOO MUCH. I MISS JUST BEING ABLE TO CALL THEM UP AND GO AND DO SOMETHING. THAT IS PROBABLY THE HARDEST THING ABOUT BEING UP HERE. Gosh!!!! I miss my sisters. and i am going to see my very special friend that has moved toooooo far away from me. i am sure we will have a few pj days.

i am so excited. i can't wait to see my sisters. i can't wait to see my mom. i can't wait to see many other friends, that i haven't seen in a long time. i have not been on a plane in such a long time. i am a little nervous about finding my gate. i have never done that by myself.

this has been a difficult year. so i am ready for any break i can get. however, i am beginning to enjoy living up here. david let me pick out my 20th anniversary present early. i went into the stonebriar mall and went into the coach store. he let me buy a spring coach purse right from the store, not an outlet store. ITIS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!!!! IT LOOKS JUST LIKE ME!!!!! IT HAS MY PERSONALITY ALL OVER IT. it is peachy, pink. It is so pretty. now i know that i should not be so happy and excited about a purse, but i am. it has the new kind of c's on it.

i just can't wait. the week can't go by fast enough. i won a free 45 minute break from my class at our school Christmas party. i saved it for a special day. so friday i am going to get to leave school at 2:15 to start heading home. yea!!!!! i am so ready, did i already say that a few times?

we are giving our first math practice taks test this thursday. i am not ready for the results. ihave worked so hard this year. but i don't think my scores are going to show that in april when we take the real thing.

HE JUST MAKES SO PROUD...........................

I AM JUST SO PROUD OF DAVID. HE IS NOW TYPE RATED IN A CITATION. THAT TICKET IS WORTH ABOUT $12,000. He did so great. He was so relieved when his testing was over. He was in school for about 6 days. On Saturday when he finished school for that day, he came home at 6 and just went to bed. He started studying about five days before he started school.

He took his check ride Wednesday. He was so excited and relieved when he finished the test. Of course we went to celebrate with a dinner at our new favorite restaurant, La Hacinda Ranch. The best fajitas in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We also had, of course, queso. We love queso. It is just the best.

David had that accomplished, exhausted look on his face at the end of the day. But we still went to church. We are beginning a series on Revelation. Our pastor wants us to read it with out all of the denominational ties that we normally bring to reading the scriptures. He just wants us to get out of it what the Holy Spirit wants us to learn. I think that is pretty cool. Normally, on Wednesday nights we read a scripture and then discuss it. I love that. We move the chairs around in the sanctuary and sit in a circle, and openly discuss what we have just read. There are so many mature Christians in the group. I sometimes feel a little daunted. So there are many times I do not say a word.

Tomorrow night we are having a sock hop at school. We are also having a catered meal from Olive Garden. I bought the girls poodle skirts. I will post pictures. They are going to look so adorable. It will be fun. I am helping out with the silent auction. I have to say one thing for our school, they do alot of really cool events.

I remember last year, when I was interviewing for jobs, they were getting ready for this event. Can you believe that we have been up here for 8 months. Where has the time gone?

that's all i have to say about that.....

i am going to put this in writing, because if i don't i know you won't believe it..........................

i have to put this in writing, so you will believe it. i am now jogging. yes, don't fall off your chair, i am jogging. it hurts like ************, but i am doing it. i have been, slogging, as one of my teacher friends calls it, for a month. since we got back from christmas vacation, i have lost 12 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am also a member of weight watchers on line. it is really working for me, since i never know when david is going to be home. you may ask what lead to this insanity. well, there are many reasons. one we are going to disney world this summer. it is so humid there, carry an extra 40 pounds around doesn't sound appealing to me. and i am tired of huritng when i get out of bed in the morning. no i don't need a new bed, just a new body. and i am just tired of being so tired all of the time.

i also have a lot of extra time on my hands during the weekend, so i have taken up this activity as a hobby. well, ok, so it is not your typical hobby, but the benefits are great. i feel so good when i am doing it. it's afterward that i hurt. i have my ipod, with my favorite music, and i just go. we don't have church on sunday nights, so i jog both sat. and sun.

at first i walked more than i jogged, but now it is almost even. i have a track about two miles around my neighborhood. the girls go with me on their bikes and scooters. i think i wore bekah out today.

sorry for the delay, i had to take care of some personal buiness!!! anyway, i was just wondering, have you ever been cold and just put on the most perfect pj's. well i just did. they are like little tiny messaging fingers all over your body. they just feel so good and comfy. and then you sit on the couch to type on your computer and you cover up with the most perfect blanket. now that's awesome.

well hannah and bekah are doing great. hannah has really adjusted to the larger school. her grades are now back up to where they really should be. i am so proud of her. bekah is doing great. she is making great grades.

hannah will be playing spring volleyball. she also signed up for her electives for middle school this week. wow!!!!!!!!! where had the time gone. she is going to do pre-ap LAR language arts. she is also going to play in the orchestra for her elective. she wants to play the violin.

in fifth grade many of the districts in the state of texas, have the students lean the recorder. well she loves it and willingly practices it everyday. on her own. so she decided she wants her elective to be orchestra. i told her once she starts something, she can not quit.

i don't want her to get into that habit. but she is excited and so am i. they both had a sleep over this weekend. i am so exited that the have made friends.

we are now going to a new church. i just couldn't settle in at the other place. so we are now going to faith fellowship in mckinney texas. david got to go with me last sunday, and he loved it. we had a church potluck dinner, and actually spread picnic blankets on the church floor and sat and ate. we had soooooooooo much fun. we were there until 2.

the first sunday we were there i had more real conversations, than the whole 4 months we were at the other place. david already had an invitation to go golfing with some of the men. we went on a wednesday night and they just did an open discussion bible study. there were about 20 adults there. it was so good. there was a man there that i could have listened to all night. he reminded me of andy d. so full of Godly wisdom.

i met a woman there, she said after our conversation, she felt like she has known me her whole life. that was nice. i am ready to start building relationships again. i feel like God had placed me in just the right place.

the praise and worship was amazing. after one sunday, i actually found myself at the alter. i could have stayed there all day. the girls love the children's church. bekah helped with puppets the first sunday we were there.

they have family night planned once a month. next friday we are going to watch fireproof and play games. i am excited. it sounds like fun.

well i have talked your ear off. and i am ready to stop typing. i miss you all and hope you are having a great weekend.

OH CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN..................

I HAVE SOME VERY EXCITING NEWS. DAVID IS GOING TO SCHOOL TO ON FEBRUARY 20TH TO GET CAPTAIN QUALIFIED. IS THAT AWESOME OR WHAT????????

I AM SO EXCITED FOR HIM. HE WILL GO TO SCHOOL HERE IS DALLAS FOR ONE WEEK AND THEN HE WILL BE TYPE RATED AS CAPTIAN OF THE THREE CITATIONS HIS COMPANY OWNS. THAT IS SO COOL. I AM SO PROUD OF HIM. DID I SAY THAT ALREADY?

ABOUT A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO THE OWNERS OF THE COMPANY ASKED THEIR CHIEF PILOT WHEN IS DAVID GOING TO START FLYING AS CAPTAIN? MY DAVID'S BOSS CALL THIS WEEK TO TELL HIM THAT HE WOULD BE GOING TO SCHOOL IN FEBRUARY.

This Is My Latest Project......................

this is in the girls loft. we went to stein mart to get the frames and then to kirklands to get the words. when i was in kirklands, i noticed they have another red one. i may end up getting that one and placing it on the opposite wall. who knows. i am sorry you can't see the words on the frames, they are wonderful. the red one sayes, other things may change us, but we start and end with family. the green one sayes, it is not the home i love, but the life that is lived here. the black one sayes, it does not count the number of breathes we take, but the moments that take away our breath. the framed black art sayes, family..... a journey to forever. as i am looking at the framed family, i am noticing it needs to come down and over a bit. it looks a little off kilter. what do you think? let me know.
this is my new stair case wall. i don't think the pictures do it justice!!!! i was very proud of the work i did, picking out the shapes fo the frames and the pictures to go in them. jw did sich an awesome job. i highly recommend her.



i have to say the more i am in this house, the more i love it. i am incredibly blessed.
